EDISON, NJ – The Friends of the Edison Public Library are busy preparing for their upcoming Fall Book & Bake Sale, a major fundraiser to support the library’s programs and services. The event will be held at the North Edison Branch next month, offering a wide variety of gently used books and delicious baked goods.

The sale will take place in the North Edison Branch Meeting Room on Friday, October 25th, from 10 am to 8 pm, and Saturday, October 26th, from 10 am to 5 pm. A special preview sale, exclusively for Friends Members, will be held on Thursday, October 24th, from 5 pm to 8 pm. Friends memberships can be purchased at the door.

Items will be priced affordably, with children’s books ranging from $0.25 to $0.50, adult paperbacks at $0.50, and hardcovers at $1. A selection of baked goods, including cookies, cupcakes, and brownies, will also be available for purchase starting at $1.

To ensure a successful sale, the Friends are currently seeking donations of gently used books. Donations can be dropped off at any Edison Public Library branch during regular business hours from Sunday, September 29th, through Saturday, October 5th. Please note that only books will be accepted for donation at this time.

All proceeds from the Book & Bake Sale will benefit the Friends of the Edison Public Library, a dedicated group of volunteers who work tirelessly to support the library’s mission. The Friends organize various fundraising events throughout the year, advocate for the library’s needs, and help promote its programs and services to the community.

The Friends of the Edison Public Library welcome new members and volunteers. To join or learn more, please email friendsoftheedisonlibrary@gmail.com or visit their website.
