With Kayden Aravena leading the way the Edison High School girls soccer team won their second consecutive game at home in an impressive fashion, defeating North Plainfield with a resounding 8-1 victory. This win brings their season record to 2-12-1, providing a much-needed boost of momentum for the Eagles.
Leading the charge was Kayden Aravena, who delivered a phenomenal performance with six goals and one assist. Isabella Charles also played a key role, contributed a goal and two assists. The offensive firepower didn’t stop there, as Samantha Stryker found the back of the net once and provided an assist, while Kate Weid set up two goals with her assists. Kiara McKay and Nishitha Vojjala also added an assist each, showcasing the team’s impressive passing and team play.
On the defensive end, goalkeeper Sydney Huertas stood strong, making six crucial saves to keep North Plainfield at bay.
This victory demonstrates the Eagles’ growing strength and determination on the field. With continued effort and teamwork, they are poised to finish the season strong.
