This achievement marks a significant milestone, as Patel is the first individual in the Edison School District to receive this recognition.

The MBM status, representing the second level of the Board Member Academy certification program, is a testament to Patel’s dedication to professional development and his commitment to providing effective leadership and governance for the district.

“I am incredibly honored to receive this recognition,” said Patel. “This achievement is not just a personal accomplishment, but a reflection of the collaborative efforts of my colleagues, the support of the community, and the importance of continuous learning in serving our students and schools.”

To earn the MBM certification, Patel successfully completed a rigorous series of requirements, including earning a minimum of 20 Board Member Academy credits, attending numerous county meetings, workshops, and professional development programs at both the state and regional levels.

This accomplishment highlights Patel’s understanding of the critical governance skills necessary to navigate the complex responsibilities of a school board member.
