Edison Girls Tennis Go to 6-2 with Win at Old Bridge

Edison, NJ – Edison girls tennis team continued their impressive season, improving to 6-2 with a resounding 5-0 victory over Old Bridge on the road. The Eagles showcased their depth and determination, with standout performances across both singles and doubles matches.

Nandini Chandra set the tone for Edison, battling through a challenging three-set match in first singles to secure a 4-6, 7-6 (11-9) win. Her resilience and mental toughness inspired her teammates, who followed suit with strong performances of their own.

Khaliyan Revan dominated in second singles, cruising to a 6-2, 6-3 victory. Lojein Elgebrawi clinched the overall win for Edison, displaying grit and composure in a hard-fought 6-1, 7-6 win in third singles.

The Eagles’ doubles teams faced tougher competition, but still managed to secure convincing wins. Breana Smithen and Vijeta Garg teamed up for a 6-2, 6-2 victory in first doubles, while Sanaya Patel and Shivangi Bhuyan battled to a 6-2, 7-6 win in second doubles.

The Eagles will look to carry this momentum into their next match, a home contest against Metuchen on September 26th. With their strong start to the season, Edison is poised to make a deep run in the upcoming tournaments.
