The Edison High School football game, originally scheduled for Friday, September 6th at 7 pm against Old Bridge, has been rescheduled to Saturday, September 7th at 12 noon. The change in date and time comes in the wake of security concerns stemming from multiple township events scheduled in Old Bridge for Friday night.

The decision to reschedule was made after careful consideration by school officials and local law enforcement, prioritizing the safety and well-being of players, coaches, and spectators. The move to a Saturday afternoon game aims to provide a more controlled environment with increased security presence.

“This week’s home football game will be moved to Saturday, September 7th at 12pm,” said OldBridge Athletic Director Dan DiMino in a letter. “This move was necessitated by a scheduled conflict with another Old Bridge Township mass gathering event, limiting resources to protect public safety.”

While the change in schedule may disappoint some fans, it serves as a reminder that the focus should remain on the spirit of sportsmanship and healthy competition. The Edison High School football team is prepared to take the field on Saturday, ready to showcase their skills and dedication in a safe and secure environment.
