Edison, NJ — The Edison High School football team is celebrating the outstanding achievements of its players, who have earned numerous spots on the Big Central Conference All-Division teams. The Eagles saw a five players recognized across the National Silver first and second teams, a testament to their hard work and dedication throughout the season.
Leading the way for Edison were three exceptional players named to the National Silver first team:
- Justin Boslet, Senior, Offensive Tackle: Boslet’s powerful presence on the offensive line provided crucial protection for the Eagles’ quarterbacks and opened holes for their running backs. His dominance earned him a well-deserved spot on the first team.
- Dedrick Harvey, Senior, Wide Receiver/Defensive Back: Harvey proved to be a versatile weapon on both sides of the ball. His ability to make big plays as a receiver and his lockdown coverage skills as a defensive back made him a standout player in the conference.
- Shaun Garland, Sophomore, Tight End/Defensive End: Garland’s impressive performance as a sophomore highlights his exceptional talent and potential. His contributions as both a receiver and a defensive end made him a valuable asset to the Eagles.
In addition to the first-team selections, two Eagles were named to the National Silver second team:
- Gavin Bailey, Senior, Offensive Guard: Bailey’s strong performance on the offensive line alongside Boslet provided a solid foundation for Edison’s offense.
- Anthony Calantoni, Senior, Quarterback: Calantoni’s leadership and playmaking ability guided the Eagles’ offense throughout the season, earning him recognition on the second team.
