Edison Police Department Welcomes Seven New Officers

EDISON, NJ – The Edison Police Department expanded its ranks today, swearing in seven new officers at a ceremony held at Oak Tree Pond. The additions raise the department’s complement of sworn officers and bolster its commitment to community safety.

Officer Ahmad Awadeh (formerly of Paterson PD), Officer Samuel Coutoufos (formerly of Franklin Township PD), Officer Bryan Hartman (formerly of Long Hill Township PD), and Officer Gregory Spath (formerly of the Middlesex County Sheriff Department) join the force with valuable experience from their previous roles.

New officers Ernest Fernandez, Hannah Flordeliza, and Kyle Telesnick also took their oaths today, signifying an exciting start to their law enforcement careers in Edison.

“We are thrilled to have these talented and dedicated individuals join our force,” said Tom Bryan, Chief of the Edison Police Department. “Their addition will enhance our ability to serve and protect the Edison community.”

The new officers will undergo additional training in departmental procedures and will be partnered with experienced field training officers to gain on-the-job knowledge.
