EDISON, NJ – The Township of Edison held its annual September 11 Memorial Ceremony yesterday at 6:00 PM at the 9/11 Memorial at Lake Papaianni. The solemn event honored the 11 Edison residents who tragically lost their lives in the terrorist attacks at the World Trade Center in New York City on September 11, 2001.
The Mayor, members of the township council, and first responders were in attendance to pay their respects and offer words of comfort and remembrance. The public was also invited to join the community in commemorating this somber anniversary.
The names of the 11 fallen Edison residents are inscribed on the memorial at Lake Papaianni, serving as a permanent reminder of their sacrifice:
