EDISON, NJ — The Middlesex County Office of Parks and Recreation is gearing up to host its annual free Labor Day Weekend Concert on Sunday, September 1st, at 4 p.m. This year’s event promises an afternoon of exciting music performances at the scenic Roosevelt Park in Edison.
Get ready for a night of music under the stars! This concert will be a special celebration of the iconic music of Chicago, guaranteed to get your toes tapping and your heart singing. But that’s not all – we’ll also be paying tribute to the legendary Jimmy Buffet with a special performance by Jimmy and the Parrots. You’ll be swaying to the rhythms of Tropical Rock, so bring your best beach vibes and let the good times roll. Don’t forget to bring a lawn chair or blanket to ensure a comfortable and relaxing evening of unforgettable music.
In the spirit of giving back, September also marks Hunger Action Month. REPLENISH, in collaboration with Feeding Middlesex County, will be on-site collecting non-perishable food donations to help support local residents facing food insecurity. Those attending the concert are invited to contribute by bringing a non-perishable food item to donate.
This free Labor Day concert offers a wonderful opportunity to enjoy a free afternoon of music while also making a positive impact on the community. Mark your calendars for Sunday, September 1st, at 4 p.m., and head over to Roosevelt Park for a memorable experience.
