Edison, NJ – The Edison Fire Department responded to a three-alarm fire on Vista Drive, off Woodbridge Avenue, earlier today, leaving a trail of destruction and displacing numerous residents. The blaze impacted a total of 36 residential units, with 8 suffering complete destruction and an additional 8 sustaining significant damage.
The incident drew a substantial response from the Edison Fire Department, with a total of 13 engines, 4 trucks, and 2 rescue units dispatched to the scene. Firefighters worked diligently to contain the fire and prevent further spread throughout the complex.
The fire resulted in two reported injuries. Two individuals were treated at the scene for smoke inhalation, and one person sustained a minor burn. All injured parties are reported to be in stable condition.
In the aftermath of the fire, the Edison Office of Emergency Management (OEM) is actively coordinating with the American Red Cross to provide immediate and ongoing assistance to the displaced residents.
