MIDDLESEX COUNTY, NJ – Just in time for the Passover and Easter holidays, REPLENISH, Middlesex County’s vital food distribution organization, has brought a wave of relief to local families facing food insecurity. On Monday, April 14th, the organization successfully distributed an impressive 960 hams and 2,160 chickens to nearly 70 of its dedicated pantry partners across the county.
This significant contribution will directly benefit residents who might otherwise struggle to afford festive meals during these important religious observances. The generous donations were made possible through the ongoing fundraising efforts of Feeding Middlesex County, highlighting the community’s commitment to supporting its neighbors in need.
The spirit of collaboration and community support was palpable during the distribution event. Middlesex County Deputy Director Shanti Narra and Commissioner Charles E. Tomaro were present to lend a hand, working alongside the REPLENISH team and a group of enthusiastic students from Saint Joseph High School. Their presence underscored the collective effort involved in addressing food insecurity within the county.
REPLENISH plays a crucial role in ensuring that individuals and families throughout Middlesex County have access to nutritious food. This latest distribution of holiday staples is a testament to their ongoing dedication and the vital network of partnerships they have cultivated with local food pantries.
