Edison, NJ – Crews working to repair the 20-inch water main break near Ben Franklin have pinpointed the source of the leak, located 13 feet beneath the surface. While water is still being actively pumped out of the excavation site, digging to access and repair the damaged pipe has not yet begun.
As of 7:25pm, the cause of the break remains unknown, and officials are unable to provide an estimated time for full water service restoration.
A boil water advisory has been issued for the affected area; all residents should boil their water for at least one minute before consuming it or using it for cooking.
This is a developing story. We will continue to provide updates as more information becomes available.

How can we boil water, when we have none? It’s the holidays, how are people supposed to wash dishes, do laundry or take showers? 3 breaks in 1 day is too much!! I hope tge water company is going to take this into consideration when they send the bill for payment.
