Edison Democratic Chairman Election Tainted By Bribery Allegation

It comes as no surprise after years of corruption and misconduct within the organization that last Thursday’s Edison Democratic reorganization would be no different. Several Committee members are calling on the Attorney General to investigate an alleged $20k bribe that took place during last Thursdays Democratic Committee re-organization.

It quickly became known by those committee members in attendance that Kentos had been offered a bribe of $20k in a bag to drop out of the race shortly before taking stage. “This is my speech right here I was going to give. I am going to put it on the table down there for anyone who wishes to read it. Multiple people have tried to bribe me tonight and they can all go fuck themselves, I am not for sale, I have my own money,” he said as he threw his prepared speech on the podium before walking off the stage and walking out of the room.

After the meeting Kentos stated “I will not be in a room with people trying to buy me off for Chairman or to drop my lawsuit appeal with the MCDO. My only apology is to all the women in the room who had to hear me say a foul word or two”

Despite the bribery allegation voting continued with Lankey being overwhelmingly elected chairman of the tarnished organization. The final count was Lankey 73, Joshi 39, Kentos 17. Lankey now takes over an organization that has been plagued by misconduct and corruption since the infamous racist flier that was mailed only days before his election in 2017.
