American Legion Post 435’s Car Show a Success

Edison, NJ – The American Legion Post 435 held its annual car show on Sunday, June 30th, drawing a good crowd of car enthusiasts and community members alike. The event, held at the Post’s headquarters, featured a wide array of classic cars, hot rods, and custom vehicles, showcasing the passion and creativity of their owners.

One highlight of the day was the musical entertainment provided by local Board of Education member Chris Lugo. Volunteering his time as the event’s DJ, Lugo kept the energy high with a mix of classic rock, oldies, and popular hits, ensuring a lively atmosphere for all attendees.

“We are thrilled with the turnout and success of our car show,” said Dave Tingle, Commander of American Legion Post 435. “It was a fantastic opportunity to bring the community together and celebrate our shared love of cars. We are especially grateful to Chris Lugo for his generous contribution of time and talent, which added an extra dimension of fun to the event.”

The car show also featured food vendors, raffles, and a 50/50 drawing, adding to the festive atmosphere. Proceeds from the event will benefit the American Legion Post 435’s various charitable initiatives, including support for veterans and their families.

“It was an honor to be a part of such a wonderful event,” said Lugo. “The American Legion does so much for our community, and I’m happy to have contributed in any way I could.”
