Edison girls volleyball team made a powerful statement in their home opener on Tuesday night, sweeping St. Thomas Aquinas in straight sets to secure a 1-0 start to their season.
The Eagles’ offense was spearheaded by Olivia Wyszogrodzki, who racked up a game-high 6 kills. Ainie Syed orchestrated the attack with 11 assists, while also contributing an impressive 13 service points to keep the pressure on the Saints. Cheyenne Singer and Kathlyn Antony bolstered the serving game with 8 and 5 service points, respectively.
The loss drops St. Thomas Aquinas to an 0-2 record.
