    Edison High School Celebrates Student-Athletes at Spring Varsity Awards Night

    EDISON, NJ – June 5, 2025 – Edison High School’s auditorium was filled with an air of pride and accomplishment on Thursday, June 5th, as the school hosted its annual Spring Varsity Awards Night. The ceremony, which began at 6:00 PM, honored the dedication, talent, and sportsmanship of Edison High’s outstanding student-athletes across various spring sports.

    Coaches, teammates, families, and faculty gathered to celebrate the remarkable achievements of individuals and teams throughout the season. The evening recognized athletes in baseball, softball, boys and girls lacrosse, boys and girls track, boys volleyball, boys tennis, girls golf, and boys golf who earned varsity letter with awards presented for Most Valuable Player (MVP), Most Improved Player (MIP), Coaches Award, Captains, and several special accolades.

    The award recipients, who have demonstrated exceptional skill, leadership, and commitment to their respective sports, are as follows:

    Baseball

    • MVP: Connor Murphy
    • MIP: Brody Ferrer
    • Coaches Award: Teddy Eyler, Anthony Calantoni
    • Captains: Anthony Calantoni, Brody Ferrer, Teddy Eyler

    Softball

    • MVP: Jenna Fugate
    • MIP: Olivia Shourt
    • Coaches Award: Callie DiBisceglie
    • Captains: Lindsay Yascko, Nalini Parekh, Cassandra Della Fave, Kaylin Kline

    Boys Lacrosse

    • MVP: Justin Duggan
    • MIP: Enzo Harned
    • Coaches Award: Mason Faas
    • Captains: Colin Pridady, AJ Dima, Tommy Castles, Alexis Gonzalez

    Girls Lacrosse

    • MVP: Jaeda Leon
    • MIP: Paris Andrews
    • Coaches Award: April Godoy, Taziyah Lanier
    • Captains: Emma Petreski (Rookie of the Year), Ashley Smith, Soumya Joshi

    • Frank Cangelosi Award – Strongest in Academics (Male): Anthony Calantoni (Football and Baseball)

    • Robert Peterson Award – Unsung Hero: Tanush Lingala (Boys Spring Track)

    • Matthew Drwal Award – Leadership and Sportsmanship on the Field: Prannit Mathur (Boys Volleyball)
    • Tom Law Manager of The Year Award: Angelina Lozano (Boys Volleyball)

    Edison High School extends its heartfelt congratulations to all the award winners and commends every student-athlete for their dedication, hard work, and commitment to excellence both on and off the field. Their efforts continue to bring pride to the Edison High School community.
