Edison Police Department Welcomes Six New Recruits

The Edison Police Department has expanded its ranks with the addition of six new officers. In a ceremony held at the Municipal Complex, Officers Salvatore Dellafave III, Brandon Gaul, Andrew Jobson, Jordan Pollak, Darian Proano, and Matthew Turner were officially sworn in by Mayor Sam Joshi and Police Chief Thomas Bryan.

The officers’ journey to protect and serve begins in January at the John H. Stamler Police Academy in Union County. This rigorous training program will equip them with the necessary skills and knowledge for a successful career in law enforcement. Following their time at the academy, the new officers will participate in the department’s field training program within the Patrol Bureau. This hands-on experience will allow them to apply their training in real-world scenarios under the guidance of experienced officers.

The Edison Police Department is committed to providing comprehensive training and support to its officers, ensuring they are well-prepared to meet the challenges of modern policing. The addition of these six new officers is a testament to that commitment and a positive step towards a safer Edison.
