Edison, NJ – A potent offensive display, highlighted by stellar performances from Kailyn Harkins, Nalini Parekh, and Callie DiBisceglie, propelled Edison to a 13-3 victory over the Carteret Ramblers on Tuesday. Each of the trio collected three hits in the contest.

Edison erupted for an astounding 11 runs in the fifth inning. Harkins’ RBI single ignited the rally. Parekh followed with a two-run triple, while Kelly Roe contributed an RBI double. Lindsey Yascko also doubled in a run, and Casey Della Fave and DiBisceglie each chipped in with RBI singles. Harkins then returned to the plate for a two-run double, Parekh added an RBI single, and Roe capped the scoring with an RBI single.

Carteret initially took the lead in the first, but Edison responded in the third when Harkins’ RBI double and Olivia Shourt’s single tied the score. Although Trinity Bernadino’s inside-the-park home run briefly put Carteret ahead 3-2 in the fifth, Edison’s explosive bottom of the inning sealed the win.

Jenna Fugate earned the pitching victory for Edison, allowing just one unearned run and striking out five in three innings. Jayanalis Pagan took the loss for Carteret. Edison’s dominant offense amassed 16 hits in total, with Harkins also stealing two bases.

Edison will look to continue their winning streak in their upcoming game at Piscataway on 4/23 at 4pm.
