Edison High School sophomore Rob Roma has been named to the Greater Middlesex Conference (GMC) All-Conference baseball team, capping off a standout season where he excelled both at the plate and on the mound.
Roma proved to be a force in the batter’s box, boasting a .315 batting average, driving in 21 runs, and smashing 2 home runs. His offensive contributions played a crucial role in Edison’s success throughout the season.
The sophomore was equally impressive on the mound, showcasing his pitching prowess with dominant performances. Roma threw 46 innings, striking out an impressive 54 batters while maintaining a stellar 1.66 ERA. His ability to consistently shut down opposing lineups made him a valuable asset to the Eagles’ pitching staff.
