The Edison High School girls volleyball team continued their strong season with a decisive 2-0 victory over Highland Park on Monday. The Eagles dominated both sets, winning 25-1 and 25-6, to improve their record to an impressive 11-5.
Edison was solid all around, with Jia Patel leading the charge with an 10 service points. The team’s aggressive play kept Highland Park off balance and unable to mount any offensive momentum.
The second set saw a similar story, with the Eagles controlling the game from start to finish. Aylah Bristow-Cabrera contributed both offensively and defensively with 2 kills and 6 service points. Ainie Syed expertly set up her teammates, racking up 9 assists, while Brynn Conover added 3 kills and 3 service points.
The Eagles will look to continue their winning ways in their next match on October 17th against Monroe. With their strong serving, powerful hitting, and excellent teamwork, Edison is poised for a successful remainder of the season.
