Edison, NJ – The vibrant tapestry of Indian culture will unfurl on Oak Tree Road this Sunday, August 12th, as the community gears up for the 20th annual Indian Day Parade. A celebration of India’s rich heritage and its thriving community in New Jersey, the parade promises a colorful spectacle of floats, music, dance, and community spirit.

Kicking off at 1:00 p.m., the parade will wind its way through Oak Tree Road, the heart of Edison’s Little India. This year’s Grand Marshal is none other than the acclaimed Indian actor and film producer, Sonu Sood. Known for his philanthropic work and impactful roles on screen, Sood’s presence is expected to draw large crowds and add a touch of star power to the festivities.

Attendees can look forward to a dazzling display of traditional and contemporary Indian performing arts, including classical dance forms, energetic Bhangra performances, and live music. Floats representing various Indian states and cultural organizations will showcase the diversity and richness of the country’s traditions.

The parade, organized by the Indian Business Association, is a testament to the deep-rooted connection between the Indian community and Edison. It provides a platform for celebrating shared cultural heritage, promoting unity, and showcasing the contributions of Indian-Americans to the township.

The Indian Day Parade is a free event open to the public. Organizers encourage attendees to arrive early to secure a good viewing spot along the parade route. With its blend of cultural showcase, community celebration, and celebrity presence, the 11th annual Indian Day Parade promises to be an unforgettable experience for all.
