Help & Hope: Community Leaders Unite for Suicide Prevention Awareness

Edison, NJ – In a powerful collaboration aimed at saving lives, the Jewish Community Center (JCC) of Middlesex County, along with the Edison Art Society, are hosting a crucial “Help & Hope Suicide Prevention Awareness” event on Tuesday, September 17th, 2024, at 7:00 PM.

This life-saving program, held at the JCC located at 1775 Oak Tree Road, Edison, seeks to make a tangible difference in the community by fostering understanding, empathy, and support around the critical issue of suicide prevention.

The event boasts a distinguished panel of guest speakers, including Gloria Dittman, Immediate Past President of the Edison Art Society; William Stover, LCSW, Associate Executive Director & Clinical Director of Jewish Family Services of Middlesex County; and Chief Tom Bryan of the Edison Police Department. Together, they will shed light on the warning signs, risk factors, and available resources for those struggling or concerned about loved ones.

Gloria Dittman the Immediate Past President of the Edison Arts Society stated “Suicide prevention is everyone’s responsibility. By coming together, learning, and sharing, we can create a safety net that supports those in need and ultimately saves lives.”
