A water main break that has disrupted service for local residents should be fixed today as crews have now been working around the clock for five days to resolve the issue. Despite ongoing efforts, the main break remains unfixed, leaving residents without water as of 11:30am.
After yet another delay in restoring water service yesterday, Affected residents were provide temporary accommodations last night at the Sheraton in Raritan Center when service was not restored as expected. While a comfortable bed and hot shower were a welcome respite, the frustration of continued displacement was evident among residents eager to return to their normal routines.
Workers on-site are saying they expect full service restoration for all remaining residents affected sometime today. Stay tuned for further updates as more information becomes available. Mayor Joshi and Chief of Staff Bob Diehl did not respond to request for comment.
