In a remarkable display of resilience, St. Thomas Aquinas running back Chase Young returned to the football field just two weeks after collapsing during a game against Elizabeth High School. Young’s presence provided a big boost for the Trojans ranked # 10 in the state, in a 57-7 victory over Edison on Friday night.

Young’s return was nothing short of inspiring. He wasted no time making an impact, rushing for 80 yards on just seven attempts and scoring two touchdowns. His performance electrified the crowd and ignited his teammates, who rallied around their star player.

Young’s collapse two weeks prior had sent shockwaves through the St. Thomas Aquinas community. The game against Elizabeth was suspended as Young was rushed to the hospital, leaving players and fans alike concerned for his well-being. Fortunately, Young was released from the hospital the following day after undergoing a series of tests, which all came back normal.

Despite the scare, Young was determined to return to the field as soon as possible. He diligently followed his doctors’ instructions and worked tirelessly to regain his strength and conditioning. His dedication paid off, as he was cleared to play just two weeks after the incident.

Young’s story is an inspiration to all. His determination to overcome adversity and his passion for the game are an example to us all. With Young back in the lineup, St. Thomas Aquinas is looking to make a run for a state championship.
