Dave Tingle, a Chief Master Sergeant in the US Air Force is a highly respected leader in both the military and the civilian community. He is currently serving as the senior enlisted leader for the 87th Security Forces Squadron at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst (JBMDL). In this role, he is responsible for the readiness and well-being of all security personnel, ensuring the safety and security of the base and its assets.
Tingle’s passion and dedication to serve continues in his own community where he is the Commander of American Legion Father and Son Post 435 and a Lieutenant in the Edison police Department. He is also a lifetime member of VFW Post 3117 and Edison Elks Lodge 2487, and serves on Edison’s Veterans Committee and as the Vice President of the Edison Arts Society.
“We are running a campaign that is not beholden to the political machine, and Dave is great example of having already been able to shake up the status quo. That is what this campaign is about,” said Mayor Fulop. “We’re focused on the people of New Jersey, not the politics, which is why we continue to support candidates who are advocates and community leaders across the state. These are the people who will bring about necessary change that NJ residents deserve.”
“With the recent funding cuts to the East Brunswick Board of Education, coupled with the dismantling of Open Public Records Act and their silence on the current flag banning in Edison, it is clear that the Legislators in District 18 are not fighting for transparency and accountability,” said Dave Tingle. “Their silence and lack of support on these issues is a slap in the face to every resident of District 18, especially those who live in Edison and East Brunswick.”
“It’s great to see our state moving in the direction of being more accountable to the people than the political bosses. The fight is far from over and the next step is encouraging primaries next year to move the power away from the political bosses that have monetized the county line system for personal gain and towards candidates who will answer only to the voters.” said Mayor Fulop to Edward Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy in September.
Chief Tingle is a strong believer in the importance of civic engagement. He believes that it is important for people to get involved in their communities and make their voices heard. He is also a strong advocate for the military community, police and believes that it is important for veterans to continue to serve their country in any way they can.
With Steve Fulop a 1995 graduate of JP Stevens and Dave Tingle a 1996 graduate of Edison High School, Edison will be well represented in what will be one of the most closely watched races in New Jersey.
