An Edison man, Dante Wright, 24, has been charged with attempted murder following a stabbing incident in South Brunswick early Saturday morning.
South Brunswick police responded to a call on James Avenue at 1:19 a.m. and found a man suffering from multiple stab wounds. The victim was transported to the hospital and is currently in stable condition.
Wright was arrested at the scene and faces charges of attempted murder, aggravated assault, and weapons offenses. He is currently being held at the Middlesex County jail awaiting a detention hearing.
The motive behind the dispute that led to the stabbing remains unclear. Police have not released details regarding the relationship between Wright and the victim.
