By The Edison Reporter Staff on July 3, 2025 Middlesex Co.

The Middlesex County Sheriff’s Office has just launched an exciting new internship program, offering college students an incredible opportunity to gain hands-on experience in law enforcement and court procedures. This program is designed to provide practical insights and can even count for academic credit through your college or university.

Interns will get to experience a wide range of activities, from direct involvement in law enforcement and court procedures to participation in community outreach programs and communications. You’ll observe daily operations firsthand and work within various divisions of the Sheriff’s Office, giving you a clear picture of potential career paths in the field.

Internships are available for the summer, fall, and spring semesters, and applications are being accepted on a rolling basis. If you’re a current college student looking to earn academic credit while exploring a dynamic field, it’s a great idea to submit your application soon.

To apply, simply send your resume and a Statement of Purpose (not exceeding 500 words) to Brittney Brodniak at Brittney.brodniak@co.middlesex.nj.us.

The Middlesex County Sheriff’s Office is located at 701 Livingston Avenue, New Brunswick, NJ 08901. For any questions about the program, feel free to contact Brittney Brodniak directly at her email or by calling 732-745-3375. Don’t miss out on this unique chance to kickstart your career exploration in law enforcement!
