The brand-new Perth Amboy High School, the largest ever constructed by the New Jersey Schools Development Authority, is set to welcome students for the 2024-2025 school year. This state-of-the-art facility, built at a cost of $283.8 million, spans an impressive 576,000 square feet and can accommodate up to 3,300 students.

Designed to alleviate overcrowding in the district, the three-story building boasts a range of specialized spaces including:

    • Culinary arts lab
    • Automotive lab
    • Dance studio
    • ROTC classroom
    • Black box theater
    • Life skills lab
    • Daycare center

In addition to these unique features, the school also offers:

    • 1,000-seat auditorium
    • Four gyms
    • Multi-media center
    • Security operations center

This project, initiated in 2021, represents a significant investment in the future of education in Perth Amboy. The new Perth Amboy High School is expected to provide students with a modern and enriching learning environment, equipped to meet the demands of the 21st century.

The opening of this new facility marks a new chapter for education in Perth Amboy, and the community eagerly anticipates the positive impact it will have on generations of students to come.
