The Edison Reporter Celebrates a Successful First Year and Looks Ahead to 2025

As 2024 draws to a close, The Edison Reporter is proud to celebrate its first year of providing local news from local sources at no cost to the residents of Edison. We would like to express our sincere gratitude to our sponsors who made this possible: Atul Bakery, BVM Dumpster Service, A1 Dental, and Douglas Volkswagen of Summit/Dave Suchoki.

This year, we have published over 450 stories covering local events and issues, ranging from municipal government meetings and school board decisions to community festivals and local sports. Our commitment to in-depth reporting has been recognized by major news sources such as Newsweek and The New York Post, and we even had the opportunity to appear on Fox & Friends.

What sets The Edison Reporter apart is our access to firsthand information from sources with a deep understanding of our community. We rely on police officers, firefighters, teachers, municipal employees, residents and politicians to provide accurate and timely insights. While we strive to provide balanced coverage, it’s worth noting that Mayor Joshi and his Chief of Staff, Bob Diehl, have chosen not to respond to any of our requests for comment, despite being included in a group text with the other mayoral candidates.

Looking ahead to 2025, we are excited to expand our coverage and bring you even more local news. We invite anyone interested in contributing content about their organization, covering community events, or reporting breaking news to text us at 732-487-1236.

We are incredibly grateful to all the readers who have come to rely on and trust The Edison Reporter for their local news. Your support motivates us to continue delivering high-quality journalism that matters to our community.
