As early voting opened at Minnie B. Veal Recreation Center, Congressman Josh Gottheimer and Councilman Rich Brescher held a town hall meeting at the Inman Grove Senior Citizen Building in Edison, New Jersey. The event was well-attended by residents of the senior community, who were eager to hear the candidates’ plans for addressing the issues that matter most to them.
Gottheimer who is a likely gubernatorial candidate in 25′ and Brescher who is a likely mayoral candidate in 25′ began the meeting by introducing themselves and sharing their backgrounds. They then opened the floor to questions from the audience. Residents raised a variety of concerns, including the rising cost of living, access to healthcare, corruption in town hall and the need for more affordable housing options for seniors.
Congressman Josh Gottheimer and Councilman Rich Brescher listened attentively to the residents’ concerns and offered thoughtful responses.
