    The local real estate market in Edison and Metuchen saw a flurry of activity between February 2nd and February 9th, 2025, with several properties changing hands. Here’s a snapshot of the recently closed sales:

    Edison:

    • 222 Washington Ave: This 1-story, 2-family home in the Raritan Park Terrace area of Edison closed on February 7th for $485,000 after 22 days on the market. The property featured 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The listing highlighted its convenient location near shopping and transportation, as well as its spacious lot.
    • 906 Edison Glen Ter: A 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom condo in the Edison Glen community sold for $387,000. This second-floor unit offered 1291 sq ft of living space and access to community amenities like a pool and playground. The sale closed on February 7th after 30 days on the market.
    • 1715 Waterford Dr #1715: This ground-floor condo in the Waterford community closed on February 3rd for $425,000. The 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom unit featured recent upgrades and access to community amenities. The property was on the market for 14 days.
    • 7507 Hana Rd: A 3-bedroom, 2.5-bathroom townhome in Victoria Park sold for $497,000 on February 3rd. The property offered 1672 sq ft of living space and community amenities including a clubhouse and pool. The property was on the market for 120 days.
    • 21 Linden Ave: This 4-bedroom, 2-bathroom Cape Cod style home closed on February 5th for $560,000. The 1362 sq ft property featured a deck and fenced yard and was on the market for 15 days.
    • 144 James St: A 3-bedroom, 1.5-bathroom ranch-style home with an oversized 2-car garage closed for $700,000. This property offered 1500 sq ft of living space and a large lot zoned for both residential and office services. The property was on the market for 56 days.
    • 13 Lynnwood Rd: This 4-bedroom, 2.5-bathroom Colonial/Split Level home closed on February 7th for $820,000. The 2275 sq ft property featured hardwood floors, an updated kitchen, and a large yard. The property was on the market for 31 days.
    • 14 Stephenville Pkwy: This 5-bedroom, 3-bathroom brick-front Colonial closed on February 7th for $1,320,000. This spacious 2962 sq ft home, built in 2002, boasted hardwood floors, a renovated kitchen, and a large enclosed yard. The property was on the market for 15 days.

    Metuchen:

    • 631 Main St: A 3-bedroom, 1.5-bathroom colonial home in Metuchen sold for $610,000 on February 7th after just 10 days on the market. The property featured an updated kitchen and bathrooms, as well as a renovated front porch.
    • 612 Middlesex Ave: This 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom end-unit townhouse in the Franklin Square community closed on February 6th for $610,000. The property offered a finished basement and access to community amenities. The property was on the market for 21 days.

    These sales figures offer a glimpse into the dynamic real estate landscape of Edison and Metuchen during this period. Factors such as property size, location, condition, and market conditions all played a role in the final sale prices.
