    FedEx Driver Robbed at Gunpoint

    EDISON, NJ – A FedEx driver was robbed at gunpoint in Edison on Thursday evening, according to local authorities.

    The incident occurred around 8 p.m. on Greek Lane while the 35-year-old driver from Elizabeth was swapping trailers. Three men wearing medical masks approached the driver, forced him into the truck at gunpoint, and demanded he drive to Ethel Road, Deputy Chief Robert Dudash of Edison Police Department said.

    Two of the suspects accompanied the driver while the third followed in an unknown vehicle. At Ethel Road, the driver was forced to unload two pallets of contents from his truck into a waiting white box truck.

    The suspects then zip-tied the driver, stole his phone, and fled the scene. Approximately 10 minutes later, the driver managed to free himself and used his Apple watch to contact the police.

    The suspects are described as Hispanic males wearing dark clothing.

    Authorities are currently investigating the incident and working to determine the value and quantity of the stolen goods. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Edison Police Department. at 732-248-7400.
