    Middlesex County to Host Annual 90+ Birthday Celebrations in May

    Edison, NJ – Middlesex County is gearing up to celebrate its most cherished residents as the Office of Aging and Disabled Services announces its annual 90+ Birthday Celebrations in recognition of Older Americans Month. Throughout May 2025, five special luncheon events will be held across the county, honoring individuals who are turning 90 years old or are already enjoying life beyond this remarkable milestone.

    These heartwarming celebrations provide an opportunity for senior residents to connect, share stories, and be recognized for their contributions to the community. The events are strategically located throughout Middlesex County, allowing residents to attend the celebration corresponding to their municipality of residence.

    Registration is required to attend, and residents are encouraged to sign up by the designated deadline for their respective location. Here is a breakdown of the celebrations:

    For residents of Woodbridge, Carteret, and Perth Amboy:

    • Date: Thursday, May 1, 2025
    • Time: 11 am – 1 pm
    • Location: Woodbridge Maple Tree Senior Center, 109 Morrisey Avenue, Avenel, NJ 07001
    • Registration Deadline: Thursday, April 24, 2025

    For residents of Edison, Highland Park, Metuchen, and New Brunswick:

    • Date: Friday, May 9, 2025
    • Time: 11 am – 1 pm

    • Registration Deadline: Friday, May 2, 2025

    For residents of Piscataway, Dunellen, Middlesex Borough, and South Plainfield:

    • Registration Deadline: Thursday, May 8, 2025

    For residents of Old Bridge, East Brunswick, Sayreville, South Amboy, and South River:

    • Registration Deadline: Friday, May 16, 2025

    For residents of South Brunswick, Cranbury, Helmetta, Jamesburg, Milltown, Monroe, North Brunswick, Plainsboro, and Spotswood:

    • Registration Deadline: Friday, May 23, 2025

    In addition to online registration, residents can also register by calling the Office of Aging and Disabled Services at 732-745-3295 or by emailing mcoads.events@co.middlesex.nj.us.

    These annual 90+ Birthday Celebrations underscore Middlesex County’s commitment to honoring and supporting its senior population. Residents turning 90 or older this year are encouraged to register and join in these special events to celebrate their longevity and life experiences. Don’t miss this wonderful opportunity to be recognized and enjoy a delightful afternoon with fellow centenarians and nonagenarians!
