Edison, NJ – A South Brunswick man has been charged in connection with multiple acts of public lewdness that occurred on May 9, 2025, on the Middlesex College campus. Jihad Goines Jr., 21, was arrested and faces charges of three counts of fourth-degree Criminal Sexual Contact and three counts of Lewdness, a disorderly persons offense.

According to Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone and Chief Christopher Wertz of the Middlesex College Police Department, the incidents came to light on May 9 when campus police received a report of a man performing lewd acts in a building lobby. An investigation, including a review of surveillance video, uncovered two additional incidents involving Goines Jr. on campus, where he was seen performing lewd acts near students.

Goines Jr. was arrested without incident on May 19, 2025, and is currently being held at the Middlesex County Adult Correctional Center following a detention hearing on May 22, 2025.

This is not Goines Jr.’s first encounter with the law for similar allegations. He was previously arrested in December 2024 for incidents in South Brunswick and at Rutgers University, facing three counts of fourth-degree Criminal Sexual Contact and seven counts of Lewdness in those cases.
