    Edison, NJ – In an increasingly complex world, the ability to think critically, solve problems creatively, and collaborate effectively are no longer just valuable assets – they are essential skills for success. At the forefront of fostering these vital 21st-century competencies is STEAM Works Studio, an academy uniquely dedicated to transforming how children and young adults learn through hands-on, practical, and fun engagement with Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM).

    Headquartered in Princeton at 135 Village Blvd, Princeton, NJ, STEAM Works Studio firmly believes that “Making” can revolutionize learning for all ages.     The driving force behind STEAM Works Studio is its experienced leadership team.

    Driven by a deep passion for practical education, Shubhendu Das founded STEAM Works Studio in Princeton, New Jersey, in 2014. The company has blossomed into a global force, bringing engaging, hands-on STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math) learning programs and STEM kits to thousands of K-12 students across the US and in other countries. An electrical engineer, tinkerer, he firmly believes that practical, mission-oriented STEAM projects are crucial for fostering curiosity, broad-minded thinking, resilience, and confidence in young learners. His commitment to educational equity and access underscores his conviction that early exposure to “applied STEAM” is vital for building harmonious and productive societies.

    Shanya Swaneet, COO of STEAM Works Studio,Shanya Swaneet, is a driving force behind its growth since its inception. An engineer with a background in Computer Science and Mathematics, she brings a wealth of experience as a serial entrepreneur specializing in product development across mobile apps, STEAM kits, and educational services. Ms. Swaneet currently oversees all US and international franchise operations, human resources, and training. She’s also a designer of educational mobile apps that leverage AI and smart technologies to promote child collaboration and engagement. A passionate advocate for hands-on, applied education that fosters dialogue and a harmonious society, Ms. Swaneet is also a licensed pilot.

    The Township of Edison Department of Recreation is hosting a STEAM Summer Camp program by STEAM Works Studio at the Minnie B. Veal Community Center (1070 Grove Avenue, Edison NJ, 08820). This program, running Monday to Friday from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM, costs $275 per week and is open to Grade K-5 students. Sessions will be held from August 11th to August 29th and include activities like “Silly Circuits,” “Scratch – Make Arcade Games,” and “Nanobots – Under the sea”.
