Paris, France – Nic Fink, a Morristown, New Jersey native, found the perfect way to follow up his individual silver medal in the 100-meter breaststroke at the Paris Olympics. He teamed with Ryan Murphy, Gretchen Walsh, and Torri Huske to win gold in the 4×100 mixed relay on Saturday night, setting a new world record in the process.

The 31-year-old Pingry School graduate swam the breaststroke leg of the relay, helping the American team achieve a time of 3:37.43, surpassing the previous world record of 3:37.58 set by Great Britain in the event’s Olympic debut three years ago.

Fink’s gold medal performance adds to an already impressive Olympic resume, which includes his silver medal in the individual 100-meter breaststroke and a fifth-place finish in the 200-meter breaststroke at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

Fink’s success in Paris is a testament to his years of hard work and training. His achievements have not only brought pride to his hometown of Morristown but have also solidified his status as one of the top swimmers in the world.

With the 4×100 mixed relay victory, Fink and his teammates have made history, etching their names in the record books and further cementing the United States’ dominance in swimming. As the Paris Olympics continue, Fink’s journey is far from over, and fans eagerly anticipate his future performances in the pool.
